Detailed overview

Taleb's central move in Antifragile is to say that the familiar opposition between fragile and robust is incomplete. A robust thing resists shocks; an antifragile thing benefits from them. He builds the idea with packages marked "fragile," the sword over Damocles, the rebirth of Phoenix, the many-headed Hydra, and then keeps returning to the same practical question: which systems are harmed by volatility, randomness, errors, and stressors, and which systems improve because of them?
